Le Morne Cultural Landscape — UNESCO
UNESCO cultural landscape commemorating the enslaved people who took refuge on Le Morne's cliffs — a symbol of freedom.
The flat, glassy lagoon inside the reef at Le Morne is one of the world's most beautiful settings for stand-up paddleboarding and SUP yoga. Morning sessions on the board are conducted when the lagoon is at its calmest, and the iconic Le Morne Brabant mountain towering overhead creates an almost surreal backdrop for a sun salutation. Sunset SUP sessions and guided paddleboard tours along the reef edge are also offered. Equipment hire by the hour is available independently for experienced paddlers.
