Le Morne Cultural Landscape — UNESCO
UNESCO cultural landscape commemorating the enslaved people who took refuge on Le Morne's cliffs — a symbol of freedom.
The Golf du Château at Domaine de Labourdonnais in Mapou is a picturesque nine-hole course winding through the estate's lychee orchards, mango groves, and colonial-era plantation buildings. Less formal than the major resort courses, it offers a relaxed, beautifully maintained round surrounded by fruit trees and agricultural heritage. Visitors can play a morning round and combine it with a tour of the historic estate, distillery, and colonial manor house. Club hire and golf cart rental are available, and the adjacent estate restaurant makes an ideal 19th hole.
