Casela Nature Parks at Cascavelle in the west is Mauritius's largest adventure park, combining a safari park, bird park, and adventure activities on a 25-hectare estate. Highlights include the lion encounter walk where visitors enter a secure enclosure and walk alongside young lions under the supervision of experienced handlers, the Segway safari through the African savanna section, zip-lining, quad biking, and a suspended bridge walk through the treetops. The bird park contains over 150 species, and the African quadrant with zebras, giraffes, and wildebeest is startlingly convincing for a small Indian Ocean island.
