Guided canyoning in the gorges and river valleys of the Black River Gorges National Park is among the most thrilling adventure activities available in Mauritius. Participants abseil down waterfall faces, wade through crystal pools, and slide down natural rock chutes while immersed in genuine primary forest. Half-day and full-day routes are available from beginner to advanced, with the most challenging routes descending to the Alexandra Falls canyon. All equipment — harnesses, helmets, and wetsuits — is provided, and groups are led by certified instructors with thorough safety briefings.
