Le Morne Cultural Landscape — UNESCO
UNESCO cultural landscape commemorating the enslaved people who took refuge on Le Morne's cliffs — a symbol of freedom.
The zipline course at Domaine de Bel Ombre runs through the canopy of the estate's native forest in the south-west of Mauritius, with nine platforms connected by lines ranging from 80 to 450 metres. The longest line gives riders a sustained canopy-level view over the estate's forested hills and out toward the Indian Ocean. The course is operated with full safety certification and requires no prior experience — briefing and equipment are provided. The surrounding Frederica Nature Reserve and the proximity of the heritage sugar estate make Bel Ombre a full-day destination.
