Tamarina Golf Estate is a golf course in the west coast of Mauritius, part of Mauritius' growing reputation as one of the premier golf destinations in the Indian Ocean and Africa.
Tamarina Golf Estate features an 18-hole championship golf course set against breathtaking landscapes. Golfers and visitors can enjoy a luxurious retreat with stunning views and top-notch facilities.
Mauritius has over a dozen golf courses ranging from resort layouts designed by international architects to public and semi-private facilities. The combination of tropical setting, year-round playability, and luxury resort infrastructure has attracted leading designers including Ernie Els, Bernhard Langer, Peter Matkovich, and Rodney Wright.
Golf in Mauritius is playable every day of the year. The best months are June–October, when trade winds reduce temperatures and clear the air. December–March brings higher humidity and cyclone risk, though serious disruption to play is rare. Courses are typically well-maintained and well-grassed thanks to the tropical climate.
Green fees vary widely — resort courses charge EUR 80–180 per round; public courses are considerably cheaper. Caddies are available at most courses; some offer mandatory caddie programmes. Rental clubs are available. Advance booking is recommended at popular courses during peak season (June–September).
