Cetamaran Whale and Dolphin Tours

Cetamaran operates ethical whale and dolphin watching tours from Black River using a specially designed catamaran fitted with a hydrophone — an underwater microphone that allows passengers to listen to sperm whale clicks and communication calls in real time. A qualified marine biologist accompanies every trip and provides running commentary on the species encountered, their behaviour, and the conservation challenges they face. Group sizes are limited to 12 passengers to minimise disturbance. Tours depart at 7am and return by 12 noon. The sperm whale season runs July to October; spinner dolphins are present year-round.
