Coral Bridge
Mauritius immigration and permit specialists. We handle the paperwork so you can focus on building your new life on the island.
Founded by Candice Thompson — 19 years of expat experience in Mauritius. Based in Tamarin, Black River.
Why Coral Bridge
What makes the difference between an approved and a delayed application
19 years on the island
Founder Candice Thompson has lived in Mauritius for nearly two decades. That depth of local knowledge — knowing the EDB officers, understanding how processes work in practice — cannot be replicated.
Document accuracy
The majority of failed or delayed applications come down to incorrect or incomplete documentation. Coral Bridge's verification process is thorough and catches problems before they reach the EDB.
Reduced delays
Applications prepared by Coral Bridge move faster. EDB officers process applications they know are complete and accurate without the back-and-forth that adds weeks to self-submitted applications.
In-person accompaniment
Unlike online immigration services, Coral Bridge attends your EDB appointment with you. Having an experienced guide in the room changes the dynamic and removes the anxiety from the final stage.
Founder
Candice Thompson
Candice moved to Mauritius nearly two decades ago, transitioning from city life to build a home, raise a family, and run a business on the island she now calls home. That depth of lived experience is at the heart of everything Coral Bridge does.
With a background in financial services and business ownership, Candice understood early that most permit application failures came not from ineligibility but from poor preparation. She founded Coral Bridge to solve that problem — offering the kind of meticulous, personalised service she wished had been available when she made her own move.
Over 19 years on the island, Candice has built an extensive network of trusted service providers — accountants, lawyers, property finders, school advisors, and relocation specialists — all of whom work closely together to give Coral Bridge clients a truly joined-up relocation experience.

How It Works
The Coral Bridge process
Free Discovery Call
A complimentary 30-minute consultation to understand your situation, goals, and the most suitable permit category for you. Candice will advise honestly on eligibility and timelines.
Document Checklist
Coral Bridge provides a personalised document checklist based on your permit type. They review every document for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with current EDB requirements.
Document Verification
All documents are reviewed and verified before submission. Non-English documents are flagged for certified translation. Apostilles are arranged where required. This stage prevents the delays that catch most self-submitted applications.
Application Submission
Coral Bridge submits the complete application to the Economic Development Board (EDB) and manages all correspondence on your behalf. They know what questions to expect and how to respond.
EDB Appointment
Candice or a Coral Bridge representative accompanies you to your final EDB appointment — the in-person interview that concludes the application process. This is where their local knowledge and relationship with the EDB makes the difference.
Permit Issued
On approval, your permit is issued and Coral Bridge provides guidance on the next steps — opening a bank account, registering with the Revenue Authority, finding accommodation, and connecting you to their trusted network of service providers.
