The salt of Palmar didn't make my "Top 10 Hotels" in Mauritius simply down to the standard of the hotel rooms themselves.
Now I am a great advocate of the thinking that "a hotel room is where you sleep as you are out all day". However what if, as was in this case, you choose a break period when it rains heavily for the who time you are there? You naturally spend more time in the room and that's when deficiencies can become annoyances.
What I can say is the food at the Hotel is the best I have had offered in a Mauritius Hotel and would recommend that to anyone. I had the pleasure of speaking with the head chef and complimented him on his and his team's work.
The sad thing is, if the sun was shining I would have probably had a totally different experience.
