Shandrani Golf Course, located within the Shandrani Beachcomber Resort & Spa on Mauritius's southeastern coast, offers…

The Paradis Golf Club occupies the Le Morne peninsula on the south-west tip of Mauritius, where the golf course wraps around the base of Le Morne Brabant (the UNESCO World Heritage mountain) and the lagoon is visible from every single hole — the only golf course in Mauritius where this is true.
The 27-hole layout (three 9-hole loops that can be played in various 18-hole combinations) was designed by David Plumridge. The course plays over relatively flat terrain along the lagoon edge, which means the views are constant rather than occasional: the turquoise water, the reef line, and the mountain backdrop are present throughout the round.
The lagoon setting means wind is the primary challenge rather than elevation — the south-east trade winds hit the peninsula consistently from May to November, and accurate ball flight is more important than distance. The par-5 5th on the Mountain Course, which plays alongside the lagoon for its entire length, is the signature hole and one of the most photogenic in the Indian Ocean.
Paradis Golf Club is open to guests of the Paradis Beachcomber resort and to non-residents. The resort's golf package includes access to the golf course, club hire, and breakfast — good value for golfers who are staying on the west or south-west coast. The Oru Beach Bar on the golf course serves lunch and cocktails with lagoon views that make the 19th hole the best in Mauritius.
