What Is Île aux Cerfs?
Île aux Cerfs — literally "Deer Island" — is a small private island in the lagoon off the east coast of Mauritius, accessible by boat from Trou d''Eau Douce. Owned by the Constance Group, it is one of the most visited day-trip destinations in Mauritius.
Getting There
Boats depart regularly from Trou d''Eau Douce jetty. The crossing takes around 10 minutes. Day-trip packages including boat transfer and sometimes lunch are available through hotels and local operators.
The Beaches
The island has several distinct beaches. The main beach on the western side is busy with sun loungers and water sports. Wander further and you will find quieter stretches on the southern and northern tips.
