Financial requirements
No fixed minimum published. EDB expects financial self-sufficiency — bank statements showing MUR 50,000–100,000/month in accessible funds are typically sufficient.
Application
Apply online at the EDB e-Services portal. Documents: passport, proof of income/funds, health insurance, proof of Mauritius accommodation. Decision: 10–21 working days.
Tax
183+ days = tax resident. Foreign income remitted to Mauritius: 15% flat tax. Income kept offshore: not taxed.
