About Sea Turtle Snorkel
Sea turtle encounters in Mauritius have become increasingly common as populations recover under legal protection. Both green turtles and hawksbill turtles are found in Mauritian waters. The most reliable locations are around Bel Ombre and the Blue Bay Marine Park. Turtles come to these areas to feed on seagrass and rest in the shallower reef zones. Several dive centres near Blue Bay specifically run turtle snorkel tours.
