Rhumerie de Chamarel Distillery Tour

Rhumerie de Chamarel sits in the hills above Chamarel surrounded by sugar cane fields with panoramic views over the Black River Gorges. The distillery produces agricole-style rum made from freshly pressed sugar cane juice. Tours include a walk through the cane fields, press, distillation room, ageing barrels, and bottling hall. The tasting session features four to six expressions. A restaurant on site serves Creole food.
