Sunset Beach Bar at Le Morne has the best seat in the house for the Mauritian sunset — directly on the beach facing west, with the towering black basalt peak of Le Morne Brabant silhouetted against the orange sky. The bar keeps it simple: fresh rum punch made with Chamarel white rum, coconut water, and local fruit, served in a coconut shell. A small menu of grilled fish and Creole snacks accompanies the drinks. The bar fills up between 5 and 6:30pm every day and is particularly popular with kite surfers who come off the water as the sun goes down.
